This Sail sculpture in Eyre Square , Galway , Ireland was yarnbombed Monday June 4 2012.
3 Great things about this:
1 . This yarnbomb was made by the school children of a local school - Tirellan National School . A teacher at the school - Karla Bodeker - saw a book on yarnbombing and asked the children at the school if they would like to make an installation .
Made by school children of a local school in Ireland ... wonderful way to pass on the art and craft of knitting and crocheting!

I saw this on fb and showed it to my fiancee because his parents were from Galway and he said…oh they do that there too??? LOL
LOL … yeah, yarn-bombing seems to be everywhere now, but I still haven’t seen it anywhere near where I am.
Saw a cool one in Quebec a few days ago but my camera was dead rats!!!
shucks! next time! or a camera phone photo is good too.
oops finace one e…he is not a girl lol
Finally, a name for what I’ve been calling crochet mishmash: yarnbombing! Thanks for keeping this old lady up to date!
LOL ! I rather like ‘crochet mishmash’ myself.
