Knit and Crochet for a Cause

Since the conclusion of the scarf project by Special Olympics, there were still many crafters who were voicing their disappointment at not being able to continue to work on the cause.  One or two decided to call the individual state SO offices, and one state, West Virginia, replied back that they would still like scarves for next year’s games.  There was also a positive reply from Delaware, and New Jersey and New York are still discussing on whether they want to continue this on their own.

And so, after some discussion and a suggestion that perhaps a separate page on this project, as well as projects for other charities, might be better and clearer than posting on the SFSO wall, I created a page where crafters can discuss and work on their projects for charities.

The Facebook page is Knit and Crochet for a Cause.   You are more than welcome to come over, have a look and join in.  We’re just getting started with the Knit and Crochet for Special Olympics, our first cause.  If we take this on to the end, it’ll be one big job.  But it will be worth it.

I’m using this photo as the profile photo for now, until I can come up with a better one to represent the page.  I’ll have to get going with some doodling.  Any ideas?

    • Hi. No, unfortunately, Connecticut chose not to participate this year. As of today, we have eight states participating, with another six still discussion. I’ll have that post up in a few minutes.
